Mammootty Joins Johny Antony for Kallakkaamukhan

After the hits like ‘Thuruppughulan’ and the average flick ‘Pattanathil Bhootham’, director Johny Antony will once again team up with Megastar Mammootty for the movie titled as ‘Kallakamukan’. The megastar will appear in the title role of the movie which is about a guy who suddenly falls for all the love interests, whenever someone comes up with an offer. To be scripted by Siby K Thomas and Udhay Krisshna, who had been amidst big hits for a long time .To be produced by Milan Jaleel, the movie which will be offering for next Vishu, will start its shoot by the mid of December.

The actress who is completing work on her Telugu mythological Sri Rama Rajyam is shooting in Hyderabad is said to be on ‘Vrath’ The grapevine has it that during the entire shoot of Sri Rama Rajyam, which she plays Sita, the actress is on a strict vegetarian diet, having only home-made food, and avoiding functions. The buzz is that she is not meeting Prabhu Deva during her shoots in Hyderabad, and is more or less cocooned in her five star hotel suite.

Amala Paul says no to Mollywood

Denying media reports that she would act opposite Prithviraj in a Malayalam film titled 'Indian Rupee' and directed by Renjith, 'Mynaa' girl Amala Paul has said she had no dates to accommodate for the film. "It was true that I was approached to be part of the film. But the fact is that I had already allotted bulk dates to my earlier commitments. So I had no other option than saying no to the Mollywood project," she said. Saying that she would however love to do a Malayalam film, Amala Paul says, "I started my acting career only from Mollywood. Though my priority is kollywood now, I would do a Malayalam film if a meaty offer comes my way."

Jayaram as City Police Commissioner

Its planning to have Jayaram as the title role of City Police Commissioner in the upcoming malayalam movie Directing by the debutant Lenny P Thomas.The scripting of the movie City Police Commissioner Antony Thalassery is by Veteran writer Krishna Poojapura. The film would be scripted by Krishna Poojappura. 'City Police Commissioner Antony Thalassery', say the makers, would be a full fledged comedy entertainer.

Pranayam: Mohanlal's Onam release

Popular scriptwriter Ranjan Pramod, who had a disastrous directorial debut with Mohanlal's 'Photographer' will be back to cinema with the new movie 'Achaayan'. The talented screenwriter, who had been keeping away from filmdom following the rude shock suffered due to the fall of his film, will now use Suresh Gopi in the lead of his new film. But this time, Ranjan will not call the shots. Dr Janaardhanan of 'Mahasamudram' fame will be the director of 'Achayan' in the scripts of Ranjan. Ranjan's most popular scripts before 'Photographer 'includes 'Meesha Madhavan', 'Manassinakkare', 'Achuvinte Amma' and 'Naran'.

'Adaminte Makan Abu' to be released in Kerala on June 17

National award winning film 'Adaminte Makan Abu' will be released in Kerala on June 17, its director Salim Ahammad said. Talking to mediapersons here, he said previews of the film, which bagged National award (Swarna Kamal) and State award for best feature film, would he held at Chennai, Ernakulam and Kannur. He said the he got an offer from Mumbai for remaking his film into Hindi from the 'Mega productions.' He said he was confident that it was a realistic and commercial cinema. He said the script of the film was received from his own experiance from a travel agency at Kozhikode while working in a flight company for the Haj pilgrims.

Mohanlal turns to be a farmer in Sathyan anthikad's Film

Superstar Mohanlal who earlier received wide critical applause for his farmer role in 'Ividam Swrgamaanu' is all set to do his next village farmer character in a Sathyan Anthikkadu movie. Mohanlal is playing a farmer and will be wearing only ‘Mundu and cotton shirt’. His character name is Ajayan a man who had lived in many towns but has now settled in a remote village as a farmer.The film has music by Ilayaraja and camera by Venu. It will be a typical Sathyan Anthikad type of sentimental feel good film.
