Jayaraj's new project 'Pakarnnattam' with Jayaram

His next film, titled 'Pakarnnattam', will focus on the tragedies resulting from the use of pesticide endosulphan in Kasargode, the northenmost district of Kerala. The use of this deadly pesticide is the most talked about issue in the state and talks are on to ban the sale and use of the chemical in the state. Jayaram would play the lead in the movie, to be shot in Payyannur. He plays Thomas, an activist working for the pesticide affected people in the state. Another highlight of the movie is that it would feature Sabitha Jayaraj, the director's wife, in the female lead.
